While he has enjoyed his life as Denny’s friends, Enzo is nevertheless overjoyed at the prospect of reincarnation. Enzo eventually dies but Enzo’s attitude towards death is very optimistic. ![]() Enzo, the narrator of this novel and a dog looking back on his life and collecting those moments again made the most significant impact. Lastly, death and dying, a major plot, underlines the entirety of The Art of Racing in the Rain. It is a simple story of a family seen through the eyes of their dog, but Enzo’s insight into the human condition is what turns this simple story into something special. This quote describes the significance of Enzo’s character in the story. I’ve always known that there’s something about me that’s different than other dogs. ![]() As it is quoted in the book “I’ve always felt almost human. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() Then Adrien tries to shove a wrench in Viola’s plans. While there, secreats finally start to unfold. ![]() Her next mission is to find Jude and get him out safely. Viola is in custody of the instiution where Jude is being held. Viola’s final book begins where A Promise of Torment ended. This is the final installment in the A Violent Agenda Series. While the end kind of leaves me wanting, I also feel it's a fitting end for these characters and their lifestyle! I will definitely be checking out the upcoming offshoot series as soon as it's completed. There were fights left and right, people getting tortured, backstabbing/betrayals, family secrets coming out and we of course can't forget about the orgies :P This has been a wild and crazy journey and I really enjoyed it. This particular book ramped up all the crazy and all the drama. Unfortunately one of her men has to learn that the hard way when they get in her way. Viola is not your average woman or heroine, she's in my interpretation a sociopath and the only thing that keeps her going is death and mayhem. ![]() In a relationship with four men yet she can't say she loves them nor do I think she ever will. For me the best part of the series has been the heroine. While the serial killer genre is becoming more widely used in romance, this series still managed to be unique, riveting and over the top. This series was a whole lot of crazy and I really enjoyed the ride. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Little Friend is a densely-written, slow-moving novel. Harriet has decided that she will discover who has killed her brother because while she is neither pretty or sweet, Harriet is smart. On Mother’s Day, when Harriet is just an infant, her older brother, Robin, is found hanging from a tree in the yard. (It’s over 600 pages long.) It concerns 12 year old Harriet Dufresnes. Th e Little Friend is a gorgeous book, certainly a book to linger over. There’s no doubt, Tartt is a talented writer. ![]() I wonder if I’ll be saying the same thing about The Little Friend in 20 years? Having recently finished her second novel (and I believe there was almost ten years between the two books), I now have an overwelming desire to re-read The Secret History to see if it’s as good as I remember. Almost 20 years ago I stumbled upon Donna Tartt’s fantastic novel The Secret History, a novel which has stayed with me all these years. ![]() ![]() ![]() The plot thickens….This story was captivating and I enjoyed the story in itself. He is sent by his Alpha to offer the Sector’s congratulations to a lovely royal female named Snow, who was getting married in the Winter Sector. It revolves around a head strong Alpha male, Kazek, that was satisfied with his second in command spot in the Norse Sector. The main characters were well written, the story had a great plot. It’s action packed, emotional and so highly addictive that I didn’t want to stop reading/listening. ![]() This story was a steamy tidbit that had me hooked from the start. ![]() Please listen to Kazek's warning for details. I'm no longer the damsel they mistook me for once upon a time. I've been in hiding and refining my vengeance. My "true love" conspired with my stepmother to have me killed and stole my throne. A way to subdue the heroine and take everything from her. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ingersoll believed strongly in First Amendment separation of church and stateĪt a time during which many Americans were calling for a Christian amendment to officially acknowledge God in the Constitution, Ingersoll argued in an oration on July 4, 1876, that one of the strengths of the United States was that “our fathers retired the gods from politics” (5: 21).
